Building a Firm Foundation Major Gifts
Program
Last year the Vestry launched a major
Gifts Program called, Building a Firm Foundation.
The
program was intended to supplement our stewardship
program and Planned Giving program over the
next five years.
The
Program has four goals:
Build a savings Reserve-$75,000
Eliminate our mortgage debt-$500,000
Establish an endowment for future
capital needs-$300,000
Support a Youth Minister (Cost 5 years)-$150,000
The cost for these items is $1,025,000, a sizable sum for
a parish our size but, it is an amount that we are confident
we can generate in pledges that would be funded over the
next five years. Our normal pledges only go to meeting our
operating needs. Without a separate giving program we
cannot meet the goals listed above. So far, we have
received approximately $513,000.00 in pledges and planned
gifts through the Building a Firm Foundation
program which bring us nearly half way to our overall goal.
We know that there are many people at the Chapel today
who did not have an opportunity to
participate in our Let Down Your Nets
Capital Campaign. Through the Building a Firm Foundation program all of us can support the
development of the beautiful facilities we all enjoy, and
help to provide a firm foundation for the ministries of the
Chapel of Saint Andrew for years to come. All of us can
thank God for the faithful stewards who have helped to make
our Chapel such a wonderful place of Christian fellowship
and ministry. Here’s how you can help. Pray for the successes of our
efforts to Build a Firm Foundation for our
ministries. Call the church office at 483-8044 to set up an
appointment for a member of the Planned Giving Committee, or
Vestry to discuss ways you can participate. Place a pledge
or check in the offering plate on Sunday. Mark it for “Building
a Firm Foundation.”

THE HOME FELLOWSHIP
Home Fellowships are genuine Christian
Communities of love and service in which members are free to
seek Christ and proclaim His Truth
in Word and Action..
Every Home Fellowship is a unique
community with its own style and
calling, but all adhere to certain basic
principles which reflect their
common commitment to Christ.
If you would like to form a Home
Fellowship, or join an existing Home
Fellowship, call the church office at

We have information, training and support
available.
The Three M’s:
Ministry: Members minister to one another
Mission: Each Home Group serves others
outside their group
Multiplication: Each Group multiplies into
two groups by inviting new members and training new leaders
Home Group Meetings Include:
Informal Prayer and Praise
Bible reflection and fellowship.
Others seeking God are invited to join
through witness and hospitality
Mission Planning and Discipleship Training
Home Group Members:
Experience God in worship
Nurture one another in the knowledge and
love of the Lord
Invite all seekers of God to share their
life in Christ
Serve Christ in their time and place
according to God’s call to them
