Music and Drama Ministries
at the Chapel
Music and the arts play a large role
in the life of The Chapel of Saint Andrew.
Our adult choir leads the parish in
singing traditional hymns,
contemporary songs, psalms, and responses at the
Sunday 10:30 AM service. Periodically,
we also enjoy dramatic scripture readings and
sketches and other instrumental presentations
which enhance our worship. We delight in lifting our voices to the Lord.
The Praise Band
leads our worship at the 5:00 PM contemporary
service. Drama and other media forms are
essential parts of this service. Contact Janet Daniels, director of Liturgical Arts at the Chapel,
for more information about these ministries
(561-483-8044).
Some of our ministries include:
Adult Chapel Choir: The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings
at 8:00 PM
and sings each week at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. service
and on special occasions such as Christmas and
Easter.
Praise Band:
The band rehearses on
Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM and leads worship
at the Sunday 5:00 PM service in the Parish Hall.
Adult Chapel
Ringers:
Complex arrangements and delightful melodies make up the repertoire
of the adult handbell choir, which typically performs bi-monthly with the
regular choir or by itself. They rehearse every
Thursday at 7:00 pm in the music room.
Drama:
Dramatic
interpretations of the weekly scripture punctuate the year as the
drama group lends its talents to bringing the Word of God to life.
Sketches in place of the gospel reading or as a part
of the sermon help to emphasize special themes.
Drama is a part of many 5:00 PM
services. Rehearsals for the drama group are arranged
Janet Daniels. This group is temporarily suspended.
